I came to Eliza not only with the potentially high-stress proposal of creating my wedding dress, I also wanted it made of a rare and delicate fabric—piña cloth, a stiff pineapple-based (!) textile native to the Philippines that neither of us had ever even touched before. The dress came out so beautifully I invited Eliza to my wedding!

I was SO impressed with my first meeting with Eliza. It was clear they had carefully reviewed all of my inspiration images and done their own extensive research into the fabric—and then some. We were able to collaboratively figure out a design for the dress that worked with the nature of the fabric, and when we were thrown a curveball when the fabric arrived in a smaller quantity than expected, Eliza adapted quickly by finding another beautiful alternative for the design.

Eliza remained calm and prepared throughout the whole process, and suggested some fun embellishments that totally made the dress. They were an excellent companion throughout a highly emotional and intimate process. My spouse and family were completely wowed by her ability. Eliza even made a little embroidered piña-cloth ribbon for my dog to wear on the day of the wedding! She was so thoughtful about the fitting, and listened carefully to everything I wanted adjusted and worked with me to make sure the end product was everything I’d hoped it would be. She altered the sleeves to make them cute and flouncy, took in the waist, and went as far as to remove a pesky zipper on the dress that was making weird lines. I’m literally obsessed. She also replaced the zipper on one of my favorite fall skirts, and we’re already talking about altering some shirts to add frilly sleeve ends.
